Shallotte, NC – FOCUS Broadband held its 66th Annual Meeting of Members, Friday, October 6th. Members were able to watch the meeting online and on FOCUS Broadband TV channel 3. A total of $3,000 in cash prizes was given away and more than 2,200 members registered for the meeting. Directors Whitney E. King (District 1), Janice Gore (District 3), and Michelle Ingram (District 6) were each re-elected for three-year terms to the cooperative board by cooperative members.

FOCUS Broadband Board President, Whitney King, spoke about the company’s $1 million-dollar capital credit allocation. King also voiced the cooperative’s continued commitment to improve and enhance members’ existing services and the benefit of expanding into new areas. “We are reinvesting these earnings back into the cooperative by improving the network that serves our members as well as continuing broadband expansion in areas where there is a great need for reliable internet service,” commented King. “Over the next 12 months we will continue our mission of serving the unserved while also continuing to evolve and improve our offerings here in our cooperative area. As always, we will remain true to our mission to provide communications services that add value to the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.”

CEO and General Manager, Keith Holden, spoke about the cooperative’s annual achievements as well as what’s on the horizon for FOCUS Broadband. “In the year ahead, our mission will continue to revolve around delivering communication services that empower lives. Our focus remains on bridging the digital divide, serving the unserved, and providing access to cutting-edge communications services. As we move forward, we do so with deep appreciation for the trust you’ve placed in us.”
