FOCUS Broadband Awards 2025 Scholarships to High School Seniors
Shallotte, NC – Continuing its tradition of supporting local high school seniors in their academic pursuits, FOCUS Broadband has announced the recipients of its 2025 scholarships. Ten outstanding students have been selected to receive a $2,000 award. The scholarships were open to students living in households served by FOCUS Broadband and were awarded based on academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, and interview performance.
The 2025 FOCUS Broadband Scholarship recipients are:
- Sereniti Branch - Pender Early College High School
- Ella Bellamy - West Brunswick High School
- Lizzy Cruz - South Columbus High School
- Miguel Dominguez - East Columbus High School
- Kinslee Martin - Lumberton High School
- Jamaurie Perry - John A. Holmes High School
- Haley Parker - East Columbus High School
- Emmy Russ - Brunswick Early College High School
- Jessica Juarez-Santiago - Pender Early College High School
- Aley Williams - West Brunswick High School
For the second consecutive year, FOCUS Broadband’s Board of Directors also awarded an additional $1,000 Rylee Brinson Memorial Scholarship. This year’s recipient is Lizzy Cruz of South Columbus High School, who will attend Cape Fear Community College in the fall to study sonography. This scholarship was established in memory of Rylee Brinson, a former South Columbus High School student, to honor his dedication to academic excellence.
“We are honored to invest in these students’ futures,” said Keith Holden, FOCUS Broadband CEO. “Each of these recipients has demonstrated outstanding commitment to both their education and community.” Since 2002, FOCUS Broadband has awarded $173,000 in scholarships to 106 students. The application window for next year’s scholarship program will reopen in October 2025.
