ATMC Plans for 64th Annual Meeting of Members
Shallotte, NC – After being forced to hold its 63rd Annual Meeting of Members virtually in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, ATMC announced today that it will hold its 2021 meeting in person. ATMC’s 64th Annual Meeting of Members is scheduled for Friday, October 1st, 2021, at the Odell Williamson Auditorium on the campus of Brunswick Community College.
The business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and three directors will be elected for three-year terms. Members who register for the meeting will receive a $10 bill credit on their November billing statement. ATMC will also award $3000 in in cash prizes at the conclusion of the meeting, including a grand prize of $500. Members who register do not have to be present to win.
Because ATMC’s 2020 event was held virtually, ATMC conducted its member registration and voting processes online and by mail using third-party vendor, Survey & Ballots Systems (SBS). Due to the positive response and high amount of member participation through these new registration methods, the cooperative will again this year conduct member registration and voting online and by mail. There will not be in-person registration or voting leading up to the meeting or on the day of the meeting. Members who have opted to receive their ATMC monthly billing statement electronically will receive their annual meeting notice via email along with instructions on how to cast their vote should there be a contested election. Members who receive a paper copy of their monthly billing statement will receive registration information and a mail-in ballot by mail. Registration materials will be sent out via email and mail on September 9th.
“We are excited to be able to host our Annual Meeting in-person this year and have the opportunity to connect with our membership,” commented Keith Holden, ATMC CEO. “We missed having an in-person meeting in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, we received great feedback from members last year on the ease of the online and mail-in registration and voting process, so we are offering that again this year.”
Potential candidates interested in running for an ATMC Board of Directors seat, must deliver their petitions, in person, to ATMC’s Shallotte location by close of business on August 20th. If an election occurs, members will be able to vote for candidates, either online through the SBS platform or by mail-in ballot, beginning as early as September 9th. Voting will close on September 29th.
ATMC will send out additional information in the coming weeks regarding the registration and voting process for the Annual Meeting. For more information, call 910-754-4311.
