FOCUS Broadband to Issue $1 Million in Capital Credit Refunds to Qualifying Members
SHALLOTTE, N.C. – The FOCUS Broadband Board of Directors announced that the cooperative will issue $1 million in capital credits to current and former cooperative members who had qualifying services in 2000.
“Our members’ continued patronage is what makes our cooperative strong,” said Whitney King, FOCUS Broadband Board President. “Their support enables us to provide the reliable connectivity our communities depend on while continuing to invest in our network, technology, and services that will serve them for years to come. We are pleased to return a portion of our margins to our members, recognizing the important role they play in the continued strength of our cooperative.”
Through capital credits, FOCUS Broadband shares the benefits of cooperative membership by returning eligible revenues not used for operating expenses to its members. With this year’s refund, the company has returned approximately $70.18 million in capital credits to members since its inception.
For active members with qualifying services in 2000, refunds of less than $50 will be applied as credit to their September billing statement. Refunds of $50 or more, as well as refunds for former members, will be issued by check and mailed in September.
If you meet the eligibility requirements and have not received your refund by October 1, 2026, please contact 910-755-1609.
