Shallotte, NC – This week, FOCUS Broadband was recognized as “Best in Customer Service” in the Brunswick Beacon’s 2022 Best of Brunswick Awards where readers cast their votes for their favorites in a variety of categories. This is the fourteenth consecutive year that FOCUS Broadband has received this recognition.

In January, FOCUS Broadband announced their new name and brand and began a $100 million, multi-year project to upgrade all customers within their cooperative service area to a 100% fiber optic high speed network. Customers in the Green Bay Village neighborhood in Shallotte are currently being converted to the new network, and work in additional areas in Seaside and Carolina Shores will begin this summer. The cooperative will also soon finish work on a two-year, $9 million dollar project in Boiling Spring Lakes where customers there are being upgraded to fiber optic broadband.
